Light Night

Light Night, an illuminated celebration of community and creativity. The event will see the Valley come alive with vibrant light installations and a spectacular musical parade. Local groups, musicians, and schools will join together to create a dazzling display of lanterns, live performances, and rhythmic beats that fill the valley with energy and joy. Visitors can follow the parade route lead by Holywell Brass Band, marvel at the glowing artworks, and even take part in workshops beforehand to make their own lanterns. It promises to be a night of colour, music, and togetherness, shining a light on the unique heritage of the valley and the community that surrounds it. This event takes place on the evening of Friday 5th December, starting at 5pm and is a free community event, for all to attend. We hope that you will join us to welcome in the festive season.

Parade Route: Starting at the Bandstand, taking the public pathway between playarea/school/museum, passing the front of the Visitor Centre, leading to Basingwerk Abbey, and ending in the Museum grounds.
